Meet Samuel Wing, MD, MS (he/him), class of 2025 and chief resident.

A: I completed my bachelor’s degree in neuroscience with an ecology/evolutionary biology minor at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I obtained my MD and MS degrees from Boston University School of Medicine, where I focused my master’s studies on the medical sciences.

Q: Why did you choose the University of Wisconsin emergency medicine residency program?
A: I was very excited about the EMS and Med Flight opportunities during residency. Finally, the food, breweries, and lake views here in Madison are amazing!

A: I would own an Asian fusion restaurant.

A: I love cooking, exploring new cafes and breweries, snowboard racing, international travel, hiking, kayaking, and biking.

Q: What’s a fun fact people may not know about you?
A: I am a competitive snowboard racer!
