Meet Kylie Lousberg, MD (she/her), class of 2026.

Q: Hometown?
A: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Q: What’s your educational background prior to residency?
A: I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and obtained my MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Q: Why did you choose the University of Wisconsin emergency medicine residency program?
A: I did my away rotation here and could immediately see how supported I would be as a resident. Faculty are dedicated to teaching and genuinely seem to enjoy working with residents. I also appreciate the diverse training environments that allow residents to be prepared for any job coming out of residency.

Q: What are some of your medical interests?
A: EMS, pediatric emergency medicine

Q: What job would you do if you weren’t a physician?
A: Elementary school teacher

Q: What activities keep you busy and grounded outside of work?
A: Walking my dogs, bike rides, hiking, reading, baking desserts, reading, working out (especially weight training)
